March 2, 2018(week 5)

Summary of the week's activities:
1. Prepare for the poster.
2. Improved the code.
3. Prepare for the presentation.

Analysis 
This week we have completed the poster and improved the coed by the practice. Here is the code improved:

The code contains every function of our conditional room and has been improved and corrected. Moreover, we have the data storage function that can record every attempt we have tried every 10 seconds, which is shown below:

It shows the attempts we have tried and we are going to make these data into a bar graph to make it clearer to analysis.

Comments:

This week we have finished most of the work of our project and prepare to make the presentation. The improved code works well and the poster is almost finished. Next week, we are going to have the presentation and write the final report.

February 23, 2018(week 4)

Summary of the week's activities:
1. Designed the poster of the project.
2. Checked the code of each component in the system.
3. Reported to the adviser with the achievements that we have done.

Problems and solutions:
This week we are planning to check the system and find ways to improve the performances in each section. Actually we have done the most of the work last week and this week we aim to test the practical work of the system. During the test, we find the that some of the sensors are not sensitive as we expect before. The solution is that we change the connector of the sensors and increase the voltage to make the component has the maximum power.

Comments:
This week we have done the job of everyone smoothly and the practical test of t our conditional room system has done successfully, we have improved the sensors and connections. Next week, we will aim to create the poster and prepare for the final show.

February 16, 2018(week 3)

Summary of week's activities: 
1. Built the main body of the conditional room.
2. Checked all the components in the project.
3. Carefully examined the work done by each members in the team.

Problems and solutions 
When we have completed the code of the sensors and components, a new mission came to us that we need to record every step we have done, which means we need to create a new place in RPI to memory the data. This is a big work to us because the codes need to rewrite and the plan needs to reenact. With the help of our tutor, the project manger has rewritten the code and added the memory to our system in RPI.

This week we mainly have completed our conditional room and the structure is shown below:

Next week we will aim at making the poster and check the situation of practical experiment.

February 9， 2018(week 2)

Summary of week's activities:
This week we have achieved our goal building the framework of our conditional room. And also, we have tested all the sensors which are ready to use. For the framework of the room, we first cut some hardboard of the walls and the door, and then drill some holes to make it easy for the connection of each sensors and components.

Problems and solutions 
During the practical experiment, we find there is something wrong with the school network, the Raspberry Pi(RPI) can not connect to each sensors. After checking it we find the school network is incompatible with the RPI, so we change the network to the mobile 4G.

February 2， 2018(week 1)

Summary of week's activities
This is the first week after we decide to make our year 2 project: The condition monitoring system. It is a multipurpose room that can monitor the temperature, humidity, smoke and infrared ray. We have made our plan that what we will accomplish in the future weeks and also prepared the materials that the project need for next weeks.

The members in our team
Every member of our team has got their position in this project: Danwei is appointed to be our project manager, Hongjian(me) is appointed to be the technical writer, Jin is appointed to be the developer and Hamad is appointed to be the designer.
